Leave it all behind me, maybe that is for the best

Maybe you and I were not meant to be, and that is something we have to accept

Yes you are right, we really could have happened

And looking at it now, it really is a sadden

You could have lowered your walls, and I could have taken off my mask

And we could have trusted each other, all we had to do was ask

But it didn't happen did it, and that is both of our loss

But like everything happens for a reason, it also doesn't for a cause

You could have been my bride, and I could have been your groom

But for tonight we are slow dancing, in this burning room

I am sorry Lilian, for I can no longer pretend

Maybe we are meant to be strangers, so this is the end...
